Solid wood will absorb moisture in wet climates and release moisture in dry climates which causes the cue to warp or rings to pop up. To prevent warpage or finish problems, it is important to store your cue in places with consistent temperature and moisture conditions, ideally at room temperature inside a cue case. Avoid leaving your cues in the car. USE: Cues made of wood are not designed to withstand side pressure. Situations where a cue is leaning against a wall, dropped on the floor, or hitting a table can damage the cue. If the cue is stored on a wall mounted rack, be sure it is kept upright.

We do not recommend turning your shaft but if you do, do not turn it below 12mm for pro taper shafts or 12.50mm for Euro taper shafts or your Limited Warranty will be voided.

To clean a Falcon Cues Ltd shaft, use only very fine micropapers for burnishing. To avoid damaging your new shaft, do not sand it! Do not expose the shaft to excessive moisture and do not steam to remove dings, or use damp cloth to wipe down the shaft. Use Isopropyl alcohol with soft towels to clean the shaft if absolutely necessary.

We recommend cleaning the Uni-Loc or Radial Pin Joint when you first receive your cue and every six months thereafter. These joints are precision manufactured to exact tolerances and even a modest amount of dirt can create problems. We suggest using a Q-Tip dipped in Isopropyl Alcohol to clean the inside threads and bore of the insert in the shaft. Use a clean rag and alcohol to clean the joint pin and threads as well.

Much of the shaft's performance can be attributed to the type of ferrules we use therefore it is important to provide maintenence and inspection to the ferrule section from time to time. To remove scratches, use a very fine 1000 grit micro paper and exercise with care. The wood adjoining the ferrule is much softer than the ferrule itself and sanding the wood inadvertently could damange the shaft. Please note that if overheated, the ferrule will melt.

If tip replacement is required, we recommend a tip of medium hardness. Falcon Cues Ltd. cues comes with various types of tips according to the different series. We currently offer our own Grade A leather, 5 layer leather and Triangle tips. For best results, we recommend that you have a professional cue maker or cue repair person perform the change on a lathe. Remember, the wood will sand away faster than the ferrule and if the ferrule is overheated, it will melt.

Use mild soap and water moderately (as little as possible) for leather wraps and Isopropyl alcohol for Genuine Irish Linen wraps.

A player may encounter various shots in a single pool game which can be separated into three major types: break, jump and normal shots. Falcon Cues Ltd strongly advise our customers to choose the right cue for the right shot! This means, when performing a break shot, it is advised to use our TNT jump break or Charger break cues. Jump and break cues are designed to the specifications to make these types of shots and normal playing cues are not. Players who use playing cues to break/jump may damage the structure of the playing cue in the long run which shortens the life of the cue.
